At the base lies the remains of stone and water garden royal pleasure gardens in what once fertile royalties. The most significant features of the Rock will be the lion staircase that leads into the palace garden at the top. Based on the ideas described in some of the graffiti, this Lion staircase could be visualized as a giant figure towering granite cliffs graceful fight, facing north, bright colored, and respect.

Built in the 5th century AC complex geometric magnificent gardens laid, ponds, fountains (still working today) and the oldest mural of a girl has become the palace of King Kasyapa. About halfway through the stone is protected gallery of murals painted on the sheer rock face. Some of them are still in very good condition. Only 22 of about 500 images are now estimated to remain.

Skana Spa Celebrates Celebrity Favorites at Turning Stone

Skana Spa Celebrates Celebrity Favorites at Turning Stone

Oneida Nation Homelands (PRWEB) February 22, 2012

When the stars align in Hollywood later this week for the 84th Academy Awards, they will arrive on the red carpet pampered, well manicured and coiffed for the occasion. Similarly, celebrities and headline entertainers who appear at Turning Stone Resort • Casino favor personal pampering at the resort’s award-winning Skaná Spa. Named “Casino of the Year” by the Academy of Country Music in 2009, Turning Stone hosts more than 750 performances on its multiple stages annually, including national headline acts.

According to spa director Loretta Taylor, the most popular services among the top entertainers who frequented Skaná Spa in 2011 were the Sage and White Pine Hot Towel Massage and the Oneida Harmony Facial.

Treatments at Skaná – which means “peace” in the Oneida language – combine ancient American Indian healing traditions promoting inner peace and harmony, melded with modern techniques to provide one of the world’s most luxuriously unique spa experiences.

Since entertainers often are on property for a compressed time period they opt to try the most authentic and relaxing treatments available.

Taylor says the Sage and White Pine Hot Towel Massage is the ultimate relaxing experience that rejuvenates tired bodies with deep vigorous massage and steaming hot towels infused with sage and a white pine oil blend.

“Sage has long been used for its ability to bring about clarity and deep relaxation. The White Pine is the Great Tree of Peace in the Oneida culture,” Taylor explained. “It was the most valued botanical for healing fatigue and mental exhaustion. Tension found within muscles is unraveled with this powerfully effective treatment.” It’s no wonder the entertainers return to Turning Stone year after year!

A second popular celebrity treatment, the Oneida Signature Harmony Facial, also draws from Oneida traditions combining the balancing dance of Oneida Herbal and Stone Therapy for a completely harmonizing experience that reinvigorates the entire body and makes skin glow with vitality.

The body’s key touch points – back, scalp, face, hands and feet – are treated during this classic purifying facial. “Our guests tell us they feel so nurtured and leave feeling relaxed and refreshed,” Taylor said.

For details and reservations, call Skaná Spa at 315/361-8200.

‘Wild Card: The Promise and Peril of Sarah Palin’ by Author Mark Joseph on Sale Today

‘Wild Card: The Promise and Peril of Sarah Palin’ by Author Mark Joseph on Sale Today

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) May 25, 2011

Bully! Pulpit Books announced today the release of “Wild Card: The Promise and Peril of Sarah Palin” ($ 24.95 Hardback – ISBN 9780982776131) by Mark Joseph, author, producer, pop culture commentator, former CNN anchor and current Huffington Post and Fox News contributor.

Joseph launched the book with a book signing at BEA (Book Expo America) in New York City and an appearance on C-Span’s Book TV taped at the Javitz Center where the convention is being held.

“Wild Card” explores the past and present reality and potential future of Sarah Palin. Joseph describes how Palin exploded onto the American political scene as a virtual unknown. As the pick for the troubled John McCain presidential campaign, she was regarded by many Americans as nothing more than a clever ploy to attract the female vote and bring home Christian voters who disliked McCain. She was also condemned by liberals for her lack of experience and praised by conservatives for her dedication to her faith. When McCain lost, Palin took full advantage of her newfound exposure by starring in her own reality show, writing two best-selling books and becoming a Fox News commentator.

Joseph wrote two articles on Palin in 2008 for the Huffington Post and Foxnews.com and completed a first draft of the work at the urging of his literary agent but held back publication to allow for updates and to be able to see a fuller picture of her true impact on the political scene.

Joseph remarks, “I sought to write a fair and balanced book. Fans of Palin may find more reasons to like her while her detractors may find more reasons to dislike her. She’s a genuinely fascinating figure and it made it an interesting book to write.”

Joseph carefully debates and analyzes her history, drawing on his years as a journalist and media commentator on politics, pop culture and religion offering fresh insights into Palin’s faith, noting her unique status as one of the few American political figures from a Pentecostal faith tradition to reach the heights of American political power.

The book’s conclusion is summed up by a quote from conservative columnist Ann Coulter who argues that everything Palin lacks can be acquired from further study, while what she possesses-her raw, political skills, cannot be acquired from books.

Joseph takes the controversial, and unique position that Palin may very one day rule the United States but only if she masters the issues of her time and prepares to lead a movement, reminding readers that in Reagan years, for Palin it’s still 1957, two decades before his full impact was felt on the American political scene.

“Wild Card: The Promise and Peril of Sarah Palin” is published by Bully! Pulpit Books and distributed to the trade by Midpoint Trade Books and can also be purchased through Borders.com and Amazon.com. To learn more about the book, the author and scheduling appearances, visit MarkJoseph.com.

“This is an important book and we’re proud to have Mark Joseph in the Midpoint family,” noted Eric Kampmann, founder and president of Midpoint. “Sarah Palin is one of the most important political figures of our time and Mark Joseph gives us insights that have heretofore been overlooked.”

In addition to “Wild Card,” Joseph also released another non-fiction book “The Lion, The Professor and The Movies: Narnia’s Journey to the Big Screen.” This book centers on the complicated process that was involved in making the C.S. Lewis’ best-selling novels into major motion pictures.

About the Author

Mark Joseph is a multi-media producer, author and publisher of Bullypulpit.com. His books have included, “The Lion, The Professor and The Movies: Narnia’s Journey to the Big Screen,” “Faith, God & Rock ‘n’ Roll,” “The Rock & Roll Rebellion,” and others. He is also a regular contributor to both the Huffington Post and Foxnews.com on issues related to politics, pop culture and religion.

GoldKey Announces New USB Tokens with Encrypted Flash Storage

GoldKey Announces New USB Tokens with Encrypted Flash Storage

Independence, MO (PRWEB) May 09, 2012

GoldKey Security Corporation, a leading provider of hardware-based authentication solutions, this week announced its line of GoldKey Tokens with Built-In Flash. The new GoldKeys provide hardware-encrypted secure flash along with a built-in Smart Card and GoldKey’s enhanced two-factor authentication technology – all in a tiny form factor that measures nearly an inch long.

“The new GoldKey packs 64GB of hardened storage into a conveniently small and rugged token,” said Rog Billings, CEO at GoldKey. “GoldKey is the world’s first encrypted flash drive to support two-factor authentication using smart cards and Gold-ID in one device.”

Not only is GoldKey one of the smallest secure flash drives on the market, it is also one of the most durable. From its stainless steel case to its waterproof epoxy, GoldKey with Flash is more durable than your everyday USB device. Inside, GoldKey with Flash is filled with an industrial grade epoxy that not only seals the internal circuitry water tight, but deters tampering and provides added strength.

When the GoldKey with Flash is connected to a USB port, a read-only partition appears, from which the encrypted drive can be unlocked – all without installing any software. Once the encrypted partition is unlocked, it appears as a regular flash drive until it is removed, which completely locks the data.

GoldKey’s patent-pending encryption key management technology allows each GoldKey with Flash to be registered to a Master Token. If the user’s PIN is forgotten, the Master Token can be used to reset the PIN and regain access to the data. Using GoldKey’s remote management features, enterprises can register tokens and change encryption user groups used to access local encrypted files and cloud storage.

In addition, GoldKey tokens with Flash fully support Gold-ID, GoldKey’s enhanced two-factor authentication technology which provides a trusted alternative to SecurID. Gold-ID achieves two-factor authentication without the need for OTP or certificates. GoldKey may also be used to lock Windows accounts, to encrypt files or folders stored locally, and to access encrypted online storage.

GoldKey USB Security Tokens have successfully passed the FBI vetting process to provide Advanced Authentication as part of the CJIS Security Policy compliance strategy for public safety units and law enforcement departments. The new GoldKey allows mobile police officers to comply with advanced authentication requirements while providing a secure method for transporting sensitive files and information.

Available in 8, 16, 32, and 64 Gigabyte sizes, GoldKey with Flash supports both Windows 7 and Mac OS X Lion operating systems and is available immediately.

Exciting adventure awaits during this small-ship expedition, with visits to Santiago Island for fur seal, dolphin, shark and finch sightings; and Bartolomé Island, where guests can hike a dormant volcano for breathtaking views of surrounding islands. As the ship sails to Genovesa (Tower) Island, guests see one of the most diverse bird populations in the Galapagos, including red-footed boobies, short-eared owls, swallow-tailed gulls and red-billed tropicbirds.

Surfers Crash the Couch Surfing Party – Surfbreak Rentals Now Lists Rooms for Free

Surfers Crash the Couch Surfing Party – Surfbreak Rentals Now Lists Rooms for Free

Timmy Reyes taking flight to his next vacation rental on Surfbreak Rentals

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) May 17, 2012

Whether the origin of the term “couch surfing” had anything to do with traveling surfers is a mystery, but surfers have been crashing at each other’s pads since they first started spanning the globe in search of new breaks and foreign adventures. So it’s only natural that Surfbreak Rentals, a new website dedicated to connecting traveling surfers with great beach rentals, carries on this long standing tradition by launching their “Stay With a Surfer” feature.

How it Works

A room in a house or apartment near a surf break can now be listed for FREE on surfbreakrentals.com.
You do not HAVE to be a surfer to list a room, but it is recommended that you have some local knowledge about the surfing conditions in your area.
All of the arrangements and details are up to the host and traveler to work out between themselves. Surfbreak Rentals only asks that hosts make a small donation to a local non-profit each time they rent out a room.

Stay at the Surfbreak Rentals House in Nicaragua this Summer

To celebrate the launch of the Stay With a Surfer campaign, the Surfbreak Rentals crew has rented a beachfront villa at a prime surf break in Nicaragua for the month of August and is opening up the house to guests. There will be acclaimed surf videographers and professional surfers, such as Timmy Reyes on hand to help guests take their surfing skills to the next level. There are 4 week-long sessions, priced at only $ 1475 per guest for room and board. More info is available at Surfbreakrentals.com/travel

About Surfbreak Rentals

Surfbreak Rentals was founded by a group of Northern California surfers with a passion for traveling and technology. After years of struggling to find great places to stay near their favorite destination surf breaks, they finally decided to do something about it by creating surfbreakrentals.com. The entire site design and navigation is based on more than 1,600 global surf breaks, which makes it the first vacation rental site that allows users to search for accommodations based on specific beaches and surf breaks. Travelers can also ask travel related questions, such as what places would make the perfect surf trip given a certain budget or time of year.

Saw II To Hit Theaters with Full Sail Graduate Making Mainstream Directorial Debut

Winter Park, FL (PRWEB) October 27, 2005

Full Sail Real World Education would like to congratulate 2001 Film Graduate, Darren Lynn Bousman, who is making his first mainstream directorial debut with “Saw II,” the highly anticipated sequel to the original film success, “Saw,” which was released late 2004.

“Saw” has been hailed as one of the most disquieting horror films in decades. With great critical acclaim and mass appeal, “Saw” drew in over $ 100 million dollars worldwide. Now after recently completing post-production, Bousman and Lions Gate Films (LGF) will release “Saw II” on October 28, 2005.

The initial shooting of “Saw II” was done in Toronto, Canada and it is Bousman’s third film serving as director, however it is his first major studio picture. Dave Franko, Program Director for the Full Sail Film Department said, “For Darren to reach this level of success as quickly as he did is something all Full Sail students can aspire to and achieve. We couldn’t be happier to have Darren as a part of the Full Sail alumni.”

He has also directed a music video for nu-metal act Static-X and worked on the crew of “National Lampoon’s Van Wilder.” “Saw II” will be Bousman’s first major screenplay credit, which he shares with co-writer, Leigh Wannel, who wrote and created the original “Saw” film.

“You can’t deny Darren’s talent when you see his work, but when a company like LGF places their trust in him, it truly validates his success,” Franko added.

History

The Australian College of Entertainment was founded in 1989 as a not-for-profit, charitable organization to promote education in the Media, Entertainment and the arts. The vision is to grow the college to become the media, entertainment and arts equivalent of the Australian Institute of Sport.

Glenn Stapleton, the founder, creative and business brain behind the college said, “Many fine professionals have trained at the College and now have careers in the industry both in Australia and internationally and are achieving significant successes in various areas of performance including singing, dancing, acting, musical theatre, Film, TV and the music recording industry. Students have also gone on to work behind the scenes in diverse areas of the industry in management and technical production.”

Mr. Stapleton rolled off a list that was close to a ‘who’s who’ of the industry today with names like Delta Goodrem, Natalie Imbruglia, Rebecca Cartwright, Natalie Bassingthweighte (Neighbours / Rogue Traders), Kathleen De Leon (Hi5), Sarah Blasko (nominated for 4 Aria Awards), Rachael Carpani (McLeod’s Daughters), Adam Saunders (Blue Water High), Chloe Zuel (Australian Idol), Amity Dry (the Block / Recording Artist), David Cutler (Lion King), Daniel Bustamante (Lion King – Young Simba), Phillip Filo (Grease & Tim Rice Spectacular), and the list goes on……..

Future Plans at Australian College of Entertainment

Mr. Stapleton went on to say that the next stage in the growth of the Australian College of Entertainment, is launching a selective entertainment focused school that will positively impact the future face of entertainment in Australia.

Competition will be intense for the limited places at this prestigious Performing Arts School so it is important that application forms to audition for entry and scholarships are sent in as soon as possible.

The Australian College of Entertainment (ACE) is auditioning for an elite group of children aged 5 to 11 years to be the first generation of talented children to study at the Australian College of Entertainment’s Performing Arts Primary School, which is being launched in 2006. The school will grow to a Kindergarten to Year 12 School in future years.

The school’s foundational strategy is to foster high academic achievement with a focus on developing and promoting the creative and performing arts talents of the students.

All students who wish to study at the school – must audition and only the best will receive an invitation to enroll. The school will be offering selected students scholarships sponsored by business groups that will be awarded on performing arts potential in singing, dancing, acting and music. The scholarships will cover the cost of both academic and performing arts education

At this stage, there will be 20 places in Kindergarten and 25 places in each of years 1 to 6 in the 2006 intake. This initial group of students will not only be the first group of students to be chosen, they will form the talent nucleus of the Australian College of Entertainment’s Performing Arts Primary and High Schools when it moves into its new purpose built campus at Rouse Hill. Until then, classes will be held in the former Castle Hill Primary School on Showground Road.

Call the Australian College of Entertainment’s Performing Arts School on 02 9680 7577 or visit their website at http://www.ace.org.au to receive your application to audition.

The facility is planned to eventually offer media, entertainment and performing arts focused education from primary school through high school to tertiary and university level training in all areas of the industry from performing to technical production and Management.

Additional to the educational facilities, the plans for the college town include commercial production and performance facilities for Film, Television, Radio, Multimedia and live theatre to complement the training organization and provide traineeships to students in all areas of the industry.

Beatles fans will find signed photos and autographs from Paul McCartney and George Harrison as well as a drum head signed by Ringo Starr.

Offered as part of this important auction will be a Marilyn Monroe Collection, featuring a signed counter check, as well as personally owned items from the movie star’s estate. Other Hollywood autographs include a Wizard of Oz cast signature ensemble, a 1960s Walt Disney signature and 1960s-era Batman television signatures, Gilligan’s Island with seven signatures, Sex in the City, Friends, and a Barney Miller photo with seven signatures, including a rare autograph from Jack Soo, who died while the show was in production. Current television autographs include ER with seven cast signatures, Desperate Housewives, autographed playbills and posters from Broadway MUSICALS include: Chicago, the original cast of Cabaret with Liza Minnelli, Brigadoon with Gene Kelly, The Lion King, Urinetown, and The Producers!

Sports Memorabilia includes autographs from such icons as Arnold Palmer, Jerome Bettis, Mel Ott, Lou Gehrig, Mickey Mantle, plus 30 Hall of Famers. Meanwhile, collectors of Political Memorabilia will find Presidential autographs from the likes of James Monroe, L.B Johnson, John F. Kennedy and Gerald Ford.

Antique Helper is pleased to have Indianapolis’ own Tom Fontaine of Rock and Roll Investments as our consultant for this premiere auction. With numerous and well-known accolades in the collecting field, he was most recently recently acknowledged as a contributor in the upcoming film on John Lennon, to be released later this year.

Also offered as part of this auction, Antique Auto buffs and race fans will be treated with a once in a lifetime collecting opportunity with the Estate of Indiana native D. D. “Denny” Duesenberg (1914-2005). Featuring art and artifacts from his personal collection, primarily originating from the personal collection of Mr. Duesenberg’s father, Frederick S. Duesenberg (1876-1932), President and Chief Engineer of Duesenberg Automotive and Motors Company (1920-1929), and Duesenberg, Inc. (1929-1937), manufacturer of highly-reputed Duesenberg Motor Cars, Racing Cars, Marine Engines and Aviation Engines of the 1910’s to 1930’s.

Offered as part of Antique Helper’s May 6th Entertainment, Sports and Memorabilia Auction, the cross-over interest of this collection is multiple. From racing and automobile enthusiasts, to American History Buffs, to collectors of art, antiques and Americana, this promises to be an exciting, old-fashioned “Doozie” of a sale.

Coming from Germany in 1885, brothers Fred and Auggie Duesenberg were self-taught engineers who gained early fame with their first car, know as Mason, winning several regional races and hill climbs in Iowa, founding The Duesenberg Motor Company in 1913 in Saint Paul, Minnesota. As their business and engineering prowess grew, the brothers manufactured Aviation engines in Elizabeth, New Jersey during the First World War.

With Driver Eddie Rickenbacker at the wheel in the 1914 Indianapolis 500, the Duesenberg Auto Company began a winning streak that consistently placed the powerful cars among the frontrunners. Making record-breaking wins in the early days of the Indianapolis 500 as well as the French Grande Prix, the Duesenberg was an automobile highly regarded for its power and speed. Equipped with a $ 6,500 price tag in 1922, this car was more costly than any other high-powered cars of the era, including the Pierce Arrow and the Packard. Even so, the cars were never profitable.

In 1926, Erret Lobban Cord bought out the Duesenberg Motor Company, adding it to his Indianapolis-based Auburn-Cord merger. More interested in Fred and Auggie’s engineering talents than the Duesenberg Motor Cars, by 1937, only 650 Duesenbergs were manufactured. Even so, some of the most famous Duesenbergs were manufactured during this period and, more than 70 years later, continue to hold three world records for one hour, twelve hour and twenty four hour runs. Known for their care in craftsmanship as well as for their adept engineering, each one is considered a masterpiece.

Among the items offered in the May 6 auction will be racing memorabilia and photographs, many depicting the Duesenberg brothers and drivers, letters, scrapbooks, speedway pins and memorabilia, advertisements, awards and documents all relating to Duesenberg history. Even more enticing to Duesenberg fans will be the offering of a collection of Blue prints, 1919-1930, including designs for Duesenberg automobile components. Also in this sale will be estate items including decorative and fine art, collectibles, antique toys, and more.

“This is going to be a major event,” says Dan Ripley.    “We are expecting huge attendance, as this is our first two-ring sale.” The auction takes place on Saturday, May 6th at 10 AM. Preview is scheduled for Friday, May 5, from 10 AM-6 PM. Antique Helper is located at 2764 East 55th Place, just south of Broad Ripple and two blocks east of Keystone Avenue in Indianapolis. For more information, please call 317-251-5635.
